Doctors On T he Go is seeking a Board Certified Internist Physician provides diagnoses and treats diseases and injuries of human internal organ systems of adult and geriatric patients.
Duties:
- Provides for the acute and chronic medical and health maintenance care of adult and geriatric patients
- Provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis
- Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program
- Assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan
- Assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's internal medicine protocols
- Practices Evidence Base Medicine
- Uses electronic health record for documentation
- Completes and sign encounter note(s) within 24-48 hours
- Orders Lab test(s) in the electronic health record and review and sign within 96 hours
- Reviews and signs/dates lab tests results daily both in here and printed results, when indicated
- Reviews and signs/dates radiology reports daily
- Follows recall policy for abnormal tests
- Uses electronic health record for prescribing medication via e prescribe and to document patient's medications
Qualifications:
- Education: Board Certification and licensed to practice in the State of Missouri
- Other: Must have reliable transportation.
