JOB TITLE: Kitchen Aide
REPORTS TO: Head Cook
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Shall have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
3. Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English at a minimum of an 8th grade proficiency.
4. Possesses clear verbal and written communication skills.
5. Able to follow written and verbal directions and apply practical problem solving skills if needed.
6. Positive and energetic attitude.
7. Professional in appearance and conduct.
8. Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to employment.
9. Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks. Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days following employment. Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening and annually thereafter.
10. Must have dependable transportation and be able to work varying hours as needed.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Work under the direction of the Head Cook.
2. Maintain food preparation areas in a sanitary and organized manner.
3. Bus dining room.
4. Perform all dishwashing functions.
5. Clean food preparation areas.
6. Assist in food preparation under the direction of the Head Cook.
7. Assist in food storage when orders arrive.
8. Perform other duties as directed by the Head Cook.
9. Reports any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect as outlined in Personnel Policies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
In a typical (8) hour shift, Kitchen Helpers will routinely be required to stoop, carry, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, grip, reach, push and pull and will also occasionally be required to lift overhead, waist high and floor level. Kitchen Helpers will be required to lift up to 50 pounds, unassisted, routinely on a daily basis.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
