WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Designing and implementing backend services, frontend UI, data models,
messaging and API specs.
Developing high-quality code applying best practices.
Full stack Software Engineer – Physical Meeting Points (Co-Worker area), Group Digital, Madrid 2
Establishing standards and patterns. Advocate adoption of technology both
internally and with user groups in the PMP area.
Working in an Agile way and with a DevOps mindset. Cross-team collaboration
between web, app, cloud & backend, and embedded systems.
Driving the product discovery, development and operation process.
Working with a multidisciplinary team (Product, Data, UX and Engineering) and
contributing to the design, implementation and deployment of new IKEA Digital
In-Store solutions.

YOUR SKILLS INCLUDE:
Proven experience in software engineering.
Experienced in JavaScript (NodeJS/React), Python, or similar programming
languages.
Interested in building microservices using cloud solutions (preferably Serverless
using GCP)
Proven experience in web development and a good understanding of API design.
Experience in working with Git, CI/CD, DevOps and Agile methodologies.
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL DBs.

Our team has been growing since establishing our Digital Hub in Madrid (Spain) only
two years ago. We also have remote team members, located in Malmö/Helsingborg
(Sweden), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and other places in Europe.
As engineers, we partner with Data/UX/Product colleagues to develop innovative
business and technology solutions for IKEA stores around the world. If you like this
